Diageo’s Jose Cuervo Wants Consumers to Show Their Faces

Diageo Great Britain wants its consumers to enjoy the liquid gold in groups of friends and share the emotions with the world. The UK residents are encouraged to step into the Tequila Face campaign.

To participate in the project you have to take photos of funny face expressions while sipping the Jose Cuervo Tequila and send the pics to the brand’s office via mobile phones. If your face is the most ultimate one, you win. The campaign for raising brand awareness is rolling out across 1,250 UK outlets until December. The brand wants every contestant to be happy, so it is giving away 250,000 consumer “movie prop” prizes including aviator shades, black skinny ties and T-shirts.

The experiential “production crew” will visit 55 outlets and make a Tequila Face film set in the bar for one night in each. The winner group will be chosen by Vince Frank (a casting manager in the photo) and the head of the company. The group of four people have a chance to win a trip to Mexico with a film-making equipment to shoot a short movie.
