Fashion Designer Cedella Marley to Create Puma’s 2012 Olympic Outfits for Jamaican Athletes

Cedella Marley, a fashion designer and daughter of the late raggae star Bob Marley, will design Puma-branded sportswear for Jamaican track and field team for Olympic Games 2012. Her scope in this project includes designing the clothing for the athletes to be used for special occasions like ceremonies and podium shows.

While working on the collection, Cedella will use high tech fabrics and create silhouettes with the aim to enhance the performance of the athletes. The clothes will have vibrant colors since everything created under Cedella Marley‘s brand is inspired by the bright colors of Jamaica and its rich culture. The designs wil make the Jamaican team stand out among other national teams.

Cedella, who was a successful track-and-field in her school years, says that she is very proud to be involved in that project. Her designs will be worn by all the athlets during the Olympic Games 2012, including Usain Bolt – a three-time Jamaican Olympic gold medallist who is also known to be the fastest man in the world.
