Fashion Houses Design New Coca-Cola Light Bottles for the Brand’s Charitable Initiative

Coca-Cola Light never misses a chance to get a ‘new outfit.’ The beverage brand, which has collaborated with a bunch of designers from around the world, is refreshed its look again with hilarious designs by fashion houses, including Gianfranco Ferré, Salvatore Ferragamo and Armani Jeans. On September 21, the bottles in the extravagant frocks were unveiled at the Charity Party, which was arranged by Coca-Cola Italy in cooperation with the Fashion, Events and Design Commission in Palazzo Marino during the Milan Fashion Week.

The event was hosted as part of the “Fashion & the City—Tribute to Fashion” exhibition, and the bottles were auctioned with all proceeds (90,000 euro, or $119,700) from the sale being donated to the 2010 “Women Reseachers for Cystic Fibrosis” Research Project. Last year, the brand launched the initiative with eight chick contour bottle labels developed by eight women designers.

Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi, creative directors of Gianfranco Ferré, created their visuals for the second round of this charitable initiative kept in mind four iconic ‘ingredients’ of the House— the Signature Pin, a rich croc texture, a white silk shirt, and an Obi belt.

We are enthusiastic about our role in this initiative. We found the idea of creating a bond between this distinctive object and the Gianfranco Ferré style, interpreting the bottle’s curvy shape through the House’s code of elegance, particularly stimulating,» commented Aquilano and Rimondi.
