Foursquare 3.0: New Features for Higher Profits

Foursquare 3.0 has been launched for Android and iPhone, the developer of the mobile gaming experience announced today in their official blog.

Foursquare is an entertainment software for mobile devices aimed at helping the user getting around the home or visited city and connecting with other users of the software. According to drum.co.uk, the game is now used by 7.5 million people worldwide.

Using this software, you may find and review places you visit (restaurants, disco bars, shops, etc.) to give tips to other users of the software.

In the latest version, the developers of Foursquare introduce new tab entitled ‘Recommendations’ that offers you places to visit to satisfy your need in food, coffee, nightlife, shops, art and entertainment. The recommendations are provided based on your profile, the history of your check-ins and your preferences.

Also, a bigger emphasis has been made on the user’s score that he or she is awarded for taking some action to encourage users visit the advertised places more frequently and thus, earn a higher score.

As far as merchant features are concerned, Foursquare 3.0 offers advertisers to attract customers by series of special offers: Check-in Specials, Friend Specials, Flash Specials, Swarm Specials, Newbie Specials, Mayor Specials and Loyalty Specials.

Foursquare has recently announced partnership with American Express and will introduce a pilot program for cardholders in several U.S. regions.
