What do you need to have a nice relaxed evening? A great movie, a company of friends and perfect beer. Following this concept, Grolsch partnered with indie film magazine Little White Lies from the UK to open a cinema club, called Grolsch & LWLies Presents, inviting locals to watch best movies made by legend filmmakers and arising directors for free.
Devoted filmgoers are invited to become the guests of quiet film and beer parties by signing in on www.littlewhitelies.co.uk/grolschpresents—the tickets (one or two for each winner) will be given to users selected at random from all valid entries. The program was launched on 19 August, when Grolsch & LWLies Presents gave its fans an exclusive opportunity to come to one of the six participating cinemas across the UK and see “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” on of the most highly anticipated films of 2010, six days before its general release in the country. The registered users, who won tickets to the London screening at Curzon Soho, also could attend a Q&A live session with the film’s director Edgar Wright.
The next round of the campaign is slated for September 8. This time, film fans will be watching “Cyrus” starring John C Reilly, Jonah Hill and Marisa Tomei nine days before the comedy officially comes to other UK cinemas.
To see the full list of participating cinemas and enter the tickets draw, go to the website. Grolsch also invites Twitter-uses to discuss the screenings, tell the brand what they will like to see next as well as get updates on the project’s schedule by using hash tag #grolschlwlies.
