Jameson Irish Whiskey Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with Global Party

Jameson Irish Whiskey celebrated St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 with a variety online and offline events. The latter included a global party that was broadcast online. The party took place in 18 different locations across the world, including Dublin, Sofia, Johannesburg, London, Montreal, Berlin, and Astana and featured video streaming from the key venues.

The entire international broadcast was produced by Irish company, vStream Digital Media.

More than that, Jameson set up 2011 Global radio broadcast and invited representatives of 32 radio stations from 13 countries to air their live shows and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the Old Jameson distillery in Dublin. This event has become an annual tradition, since the brand has been arranging it for the eighth time.

Obviously, inviting a great number of radio journalists was not enough for the brand like Jameson. So, to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Jameson launched a unique project — a one-day radio station Jameson FM to cover the celebration and connect with listeners from all over the world. The radio broadcast was accessible on the website at www.jamesonwhiskey.com.

Another St.Patrick’s Day offer from the brand that is still available is an online quizz dubbed ‘True or Folklore’. So, the brand encourages website visitors to ‘release their inner Irish’ and answer three tricky questions about all things Irish. The players will get a chance to win a trip to Jameson distillery in Dublin.

Needless to say, the celebration also took place on Facebook and Twitter pages of the brand.

It’s been a day after a party now, and the participants are still keeping silence. With exception of South African web-resource wwww.timessaguardian.com that has reported the ‘Mixed reactions to the Jameson Global Party’ as «not everyone enjoyed the music. Some didn’t make it to the dance floor«…
