LG Let Users Share Their Sincerity with 2 Million Friends Worldwide

Marking the arrival of its new LED monitors series, the E40 and E50, LG launched Sincerity, an online campaign aimed to elicit and share touching stories from LG consumers around the world.

As part of the promotional project, which was running from May 10 to June 29 this year, participants from 9 countries (from Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Singapore, UAE, Ukraine and the US) were asked to “show their sincerity” by leaving on the campaign’s website moving personal stories or their own personal reflections on what sincerity means. Each participant was allotted one of 2,073,600 pixels, which collectively formed a full picture with as many pixels as LG’s new LED monitors.

Smartphone users could take part in this event through their phones. Using Pixel Soldiers, i-Phone and Android Phone users could contribute their sincere stories by simply tapping them into their phones. Smartphone users could also download a ‘wallpaper’ containing their own sincere stories.

During the promotion, LG displayed selected messages on advertising boards or landmarks in the writer’s home country. The contributors with best stills were awarded with a range of prizes including LG LED LCD Monitor (30 winners), LG Seamless Monitor (20 winners), a S$4,000 travel voucher and the grand prize of a Volkswagen POLO 1.4.
