According to the press-announcement, made on the day of campaign launch, each kind act will be measured by a unique Kindness Meter that will serve as the kindness pulse of Canadian nation. More information on the campaign is available on www.marsacts.ca and www.facebook.com/marsacts.

Anyone may join this nationwide initiative by accepting the MARS Chocolate Kindness Pledge on the dedicated project website. By sharing their stories of kindness with others, participants will get a chance to nominate their local community organization for a chance to win one of three $10,000 CDN kindness donations. Also, by joining the initiative and taking the pledge for kindness, one is awarded with a free coupon to redeem one of Mars’ chocolate products for free, which can be shared with others to put the kindness initiative further into action.

TJ Kanaris, Brand Director for Mars Canada Inc., said, “Mars Canada Inc. fundamentally believes in the importance of kindness, being kind and giving back to one another so that we can bring smiles to the faces of those around us. We are reminding Canadians to make kindness a part of their daily routine, and why not start with a good-natured challenge that measures this kindness, so that we can get excited about it and rally behind it!”
