McDonald’s Introduces «Great Tastes of America»

McDonald’s has launched a new ad campaign «Great Tastes of America» to promote a new line of hamburgers, each paying a tribute to iconic tastes of the classical American food. The set of spots was developed by the Leo Burnett the agency, with the first ad was launched on May 4.

The first ad is full of icons of American culture, in very British settings. This list includes Mardi Gras parade marching along a quiet British street in some distant town, American Football side lining up against a UK soccer team, a yellow New York cab, lifeguards with great bodies running through a paddling pool, and a huge truck parked on the road’s side.

The idea is that with McDonald’s any environment turns to be American, even if it is a British province with its strong and deep-rooted traditions. Each of the new promoted burgers nods to a different US city.
