Microsoft Reveals the Dynamic Nature of the Surface Tablet in a New Ad

Microsoft has released a campaign to promote its upcoming tablet Surface, which is to be available to purchase next week. The new promotion has arrived just in time for the launch of the pre-Christmas advertising season, thus encouraging more consumers to buy Surface tablets as gifts to their loved ones (though, the adverts do not relate to the hottest shopping season directly). With this move, the tech giant is definitely enters the battle with its major competitors, Amazon, Google and Apple, which also have something to offer.

The campaign for the Surface device so far includes two spots. The ads include a very dynamic “The Surface Movement” spot, in which people are doing great things with the new tablet to the soft clicking sound of the vivid touch covers. In the spot, which aired on October 15, they don’t say a word about the new device, the video is all about active moves. A Microsoft has also released the “Learn More about Surface” spot, in which it describes characteristics of the Surface tablet, explaining what it can deliver. “Surface is your way of working, playing, and connecting,” says the description to the ad, which was posted to the brand’s YouTube page yesterday, October 17.

The table category is already packed with fresh products from top manufacturers. Amazon released its revolutionary Kindle Fire priced at $69 in late September, Apple is hosting a special event on October 23, where it is expected to unveil its long awaited iPad mini (most probably, it will launch it in the coming weeks, too) and Google’s Nexus 7 priced at $199 entered the tablets market in summer. With its new product, Microsoft turns into a big player on the popular table market, too.

The Microsoft’s tablet is now available to pre-order here—prices range from $499.00 (32 GB without Black Touch Cover) to $699.00 (64 GB with Black Touch Cover), while the shipment starts on October 26 (on November 6 in Australia). The device price seems to be the highest one in the category (in fact, iPad 2, released  March, has the same price range).
