New Diet Coke Contour Bottle by Jean Paul Gaultier Features Iconic Madonna’s Cone Bra Outfit

Diet Coke is launching a new set of bottles inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier’s iconic creations. Earlier this spring, the soft drinks brand announced partnership with its new creative director, the world famous fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier, who developed new chick Diet Coke bottle designs based on his iconic models and fronted the whole campaign. Following the launch of a series of adverts, in which the designer appeared as a shrink, paparazzi and a private detective, a new round of campaign has been revealed. Now the brand presents new bottles, and one of them is ‘dressed’ in Madonna’s iconic outfits, devised by Gaultier.

Bearing the ‘Love It Light’ strapline, the new 11-second spot features three bottle designs: two women bodies—one is inspired by Madonna’s notorious conical bra look unveiled in early 1990th, and the other is more like an artistic rendition of the same look,—plus the iconic blue and white stripes design. According to MTV, the two (Madonna’s and stripped) bottles with the eccentric outfit-inspired designs against cream-colored background are available in Europe only, and the brand doesn’t say if it is going to take it to other markets in America, Asia or Australia. According to the source, “the product has no official tie to the singer, but the audience they’re speaking to is quite clear.”

The new extension of the campaign also includes weird prints, featuring Gaultier’s face on two different women’s bodies, which are wearing his iconic outfits—one of them, blonde, is dressed in a tunic with the trademark Breton stripe, and the other, dark-haired, is wearing leather shirts and jacket. The new ‘evian‘-inspired prints, which are shot by Stéphane Sednaoui as reported by Fashionista.com, are exploring the ‘Day&Night’ theme.
