YesYesNo, a provider of solutions that combine creativity, artistic vision, and R&D, in cooperation with DualForces have developed an unseen solution that allows creating works of art by bringing sport and cutting-edge technology together. In other words, the companies presented software that would allow athletes create dynamic paintings using their feet as they run.
This project was kicked off to promote the launch of Nike Free Run+ 2 City Pack footwear series.
This technological marvel was made possible as GPS-data of the runner’s shoes were transmitted and decoded by a computer using the software developed by YesYesNo.
Nike held a 2-day workshop at its headquarters, where the invited people could actually turn their run into a painting based on the pace, and unique style each runner has. The outcome of the project is obvious — dozens of paintings as unique as each person’s moves are.
Finally, the organizers of the project together with Nike Innovation Lab laser etched each runner’s name, the distance they ran and the silouhette of their run path onto a custom fabricated shoe box with a pair of the ‘City Pack’ shoes from their city of origin. See the outcome below. Seems like every our running move has a resemblance to Nike logo, doesn’t it?
