PepsiCo unveils “Women, the 5G Network” this week at the annual BlogHer conference. “Women, the 5G network” is a provocative, interactive dialogue around the power, potential and promise of women—as transformational business leaders, influential media and engaged consumers. The launch pad for this on-going discussion is a “Sofa Summit” breakfast featuring PepsiCo female leaders and BlogHers to celebrate and elevate the collective collateral women have and the impact to society and the marketplace.
“Women are a driving force in business. Their influence can be felt both inside and outside companies,” “Now with online connectivity, women have extraordinary power and reach—creating the ultimate ‘5G Network.’ We want to shine a light on the great strides women have made—in business, social media and sustainability—and enable change by tapping into what’s important to women today—and for the future,” said Julie Hamp, Senior Vice President, Chief Communications Officer for PepsiCo. PepsiCo’s BlogHer activities will be syndicated at www.pepsicoportal.com.
Moderated by award winning journalist formerly of CNN and NBC Campbell Brown, PepsiCo hosts a “Sofa Summit” with several of PepsiCo’s female leaders for a frank, woman-to-woman discussion with some of the country’s most influential bloggers. This unprecedented dialogue will focus on the potential of women to drive innovation and catalyze transformation.
PepsiCo is creating the ultimate gathering spot at BlogHer—the PepsiCo BlogCast Studio. Here, bloggers can meet to share ideas and information, sample PepsiCo products and share their opinions and outlook about the passions, promise and point of view of the 5G Network.
PepsiCo will be partnering with Momversation, a destination for women to connect, share and join in fun or enlightening conversations, to produce a video interview series which will address the passions, promise and point of view of the influential women of BlogHer. PepsiCo will also tap into the pulse of BlogHer with the “Promise Poll,” a brief four question text-to-vote poll for attendees to share their thoughts about social responsibility and sustainability.
