Pharrell Williams, KAWS and COMME des GARÇONS release the “Girl” scent

Pharrell Williams has collaborated with KAWS and COMME des GARÇONS to launch a unisex fragrance in a striking packaging. While the scent is for both male and female consumers, it’s titled “Girl” and the packaging features flamboyant visual elements.

The bottle, logo and packaging have been developed by House + Holme, using the naive cartoonish design elements by KAWS. The bottle has a spherical cap that features the artists’ trademark, the XX black eyes. The palette of the bottle’s body builds on the rosy, violet white and black shades—there’s some animated character depicted on the bottle, still it’s hard to tell what exactly it is.

The concept of the scent was developed by Pharrell, and the product itself was developed by Christian Astuguevieille, creative director of Comme des Garçons Parfums, and Antoine Lie of Takasago. As to the fragrance, its top notes are neroli, lavender and white pepper; the middle notes feature iris, styrax and violet, while the base ones of vetiver, patchouli, cedarwood and sandalwood.

The fragrance’s bottle comes in two versions, the 100-ml bottle is priced at $135, and the 10-ml. travel bottle is set at $30. William’s “Girl” will be available to purchase on Dover Street Market London and Tokyo starting September 1 and online beginning September 5.
