Pringles brand has launched a new website to help people who think that their friends in online communities are posting too much boring stuff. With the help of ‘The Oversharers’ developed by Wunderman they can convince these people to spend their time on something much more interesting and post things ‘really worth sharing, like Pringles‘.
On the website, which is full of boring Twitter feeds like “I’ve just eaten a cheese sandwich” visitors can download a Facebook ‘Overshare’ button. When someone of your friends updates his or her profile with another boring text or posts something totally not interesting, just push this button to send the oversharing friend a message, which invites to skip to the Pringles website and better have real fun there.
The ‘Oversharers’ website provides its visitors with a great opportunity to give their talkative friends a T-shirt, mugs and caps featuring their most banal updates to remind of the ripe they write from time to time. Another way to reach people who like platitudes is to show them a self-created funny video featuring their own photo from the profile. To make the spot, visitors should connect to their Facebook page and selected the ‘victim’.
So, if you have some free time, better have some more Pringles instead of posting ridiculous updates. Or vice verse, do it to get the funny tees as gifts from you buddies.
