Samsung Omnia II Mobile Phone Helps Establish a New Guinness Record

Samsung helps people enter The Guinness Book of Records. Using Samsung Omnia II with its touchscreen and keyboard technology Swype, Franklin Page managed to write a message faster than anybody in the world before him. His result is 35.54 seconds for composing quite a long text on the screen and sending it.

The company encourages other people with deft fingers come and try to break the record and achieve yet more prominent results. The text for messaging is “The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.”

The applications can be submitted to the Guinness World Records Web site. This competition is not sponsored by Samsung and the contestants can use any mobile device they like to show how fast they can text.
