Sony Ericsson Is Looking for Four Hottest Aussie Bloggers

Sony Ericsson has teamed up with MEC, Ignite Media Brands agencies and MTV’s Brand Solutions team to launch a search for best Australian bloggers, whose content will be later featured on subscription TV and a range of online destinations. The competition is now rolling out on the dedicated page www.sonyericsson.com/bloggersearch, which invites creative people with excellent writing skills to join the project for a chance to “feature in promo spots on MTV, be in with the chance to win some cash and cool gear from Sony Ericsson”—and become the members of the brand’s info center team.

The goal is to find four top Aussie bloggers in each of the four categories (music, film, gadgets and fashion), and give them the freedom to provide hottest content to people in the country. The initiative, which was started on December 14, will be rolling out for six months, and so far, there are already two entries in the Fashion category and one entry in the Film one (the other two are empty). The program will be also supported by social media channels including Twitter and Facebook.

To know more about the participating bloggers, choose the category and click to read the profile, which features his or her related likes and dislikes plus the url of the blog the entrant writes for. The winners of the competition will also get exclusive access to VIP parties and special events so that they could get inspired to write more engaging posts.

The contest page also promotes the Xperia smartphone brand, which is a perfect solution for people who lead an active life and like to capture its best moments with their friends by posting videos and stills to their online dairies and blogs.

Our collaboration with MTV captures the spirit of the Xperia smartphone brand. The blogger search project will empower our digitally savvy audience by providing them with an incredible platform for their passions. We’re looking for individuals that can create content that entertains and inspires,” commented Tim Barnes, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, head of marketing, Oceania.
