Survey by Grant’s: Russians Love the New Year

Despite all the negative predictions, people in Russia still think that winter holidays should be celebrated in full. The blended whiskey Grant’s has made a New Year’s survey, questioning Moscow and St. Petersburg residents about their plans for holidays.

More than 515 people from the two capitals — the current and the previous one — answered the questions. The results confirmed the old truth that the New Year is the most anticipated holiday, and the people’s affection to it never fades.

The traditional elements of the holiday — winter comedies, Santa Clause, gifts under the trees — now will be ‘accompanied’ by a number of innovations. Many Russian people are going to arrange home parties and buy presents for themselves. The holiday spendings are not going to be reduced as compared with the previous year.

Many years have passed since the first whisky appeared, and over this time it has managed to become the main drink of the cold festive season. In the UK, a good bottle of whisky is a traditional present for grandfathers, fathers and young men.

This year the Grant’s whiskey brand decided to help set up a home party and launched an on-line helper www.grantspartyconstructor.com, which will be definitely handy for arranging your own events.
