This spring, P&G, in association with The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, was running the ‘Clean-up London’ campaign dedicated to the Olympic Games, and as a result 10 square miles across 20 of London’s boroughs were made tidy. Around 1,000 bags of rubbish were collected and removed and to celebrate such a success P&G Capital Clean Up team and partners have launched the ‘Helping London Look Its Best’ Exhibition.

It showcases illustrations from some of London’s most talented artists from DebutArt, London’s foremost illustration agency who were briefed to create works based around the theme of cleaning up London for The London 2012 Olympic Games.

But the exhibition is not typical. To create their illustration, each artist has got a dirty tube tile wall to clean off, using only a finger or cloth. The creative process of each artist was filmed to create time-lapsed video. The videos will soon be uploaded onto P&G’s Capital Clean Up site for people to watch.

For the exhibition, all the illustrations were printed and framed. They will also be given out as prizes along with other P&G products to the people who have helped the most in P&G’s Capital Clean Up.
