ABSOLUT Mixed Vodka and Wine to Reveal ABSOLUT TUNE

ABSOLUT, the world’s original premium vodka, developed a new drinking experience which fuses the ABSOLUT VODKA and the finest wine making traditions of New Zealand premium wine brand, Brancott Estate. This resulted in ABSOLUT TUNE, a sophisticatedly designed and tasting product which will be available for a limited time only across three select Merivale venues in Sydney.

It is hard to imagine how vodka and wine can come together but ABSOLUT TUNE proves it can. A sparkling fusion between premium ABSOLUT VODKA and Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc demonstartes vibrant, fresh tropical fruits but still as strong as ABSOLUT VODKA. The 750ml bottle has an original design resembling a champagne bottle.

“It truly is uncomparable and ushers in a whole new category”, said Glen Brasington, Marketing Director, Pernod Ricard Australia. “The whole package is unique, from the reveal of the intricate bottle design with removal of the „hood‟, to the unprecedented fusion of Sauvignon Blanc and subtle Vodka flavours combining to deliver a new taste profile that is simply not found in vodka or wine alone.»

ABSOLUT TUNE is presented as «an elegant drink designed to elevate any occasion with its sophisticated visual cues and beautifully balanced palette», says the press-release.

Pernod Ricard Australia believes it will be a hit here in the Australian market. ABSOLUT TUNE is being introduced as a ‘limited edition’ product through three of Australia’s leading premium venues courtesy of a partnership with the hospitality group, Merivale. Hemmesphere (at Establishment), the den (at ivy) and The Beresford Hotel will each offer ABSOLUT TUNE for a short time starting this August 2011 and selling through until early September only.

Brasington is sure that Sydney is a perfect place to introduce such an innovative drink and conumers here will appreciate the concept and taste of the vodka and wine mix.

“Brancott Estate is highly regarded as a pioneering wine brand in New Zealand, and our experience shows that Australians will be excited by something very different and innovative from these two premium brands”, he said.
