Artist Chris Anderson creates cardboard replicas of Adidas’ shoes from SS 2014 collection

Adidas continues to inspire artists to create new unexpected interpretations of its shoes. The latest addition to the vast collection of designs is a range of cardboard shoes by British illustrator and graphic designer Chris Anderson. The sneakers, which are replicas of the models of the upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 collection, have been created using recycled corrugated cardboard.

The artist has created 100% green interpretations of the Stan Smith, Campus, Superstar Shelltoe, ZX700, and ZX8000 sneakers. Each of the replicas in natural light-brown features the signature three stripes and white cut-out Adidas logo. The designer replicas look just like the original ones, both in its cut and design features.

The scale models have been created for Leeds-based retailer The Chimp Store. The collection of ready-to-wear traditional leather and vinyl shoes will be available there in 2014.
