In anticipation of the World Cup, Budweiser will be packaging their refreshing beer in metallic bottle fashioned after the tournament’s famous trophy.
Exal, a metal packaging manufacturer, has produced the bottles that will be available in stores across the world. The bottle is designed to reduce spilling and feels cold to the touch of the hand.
«The metallic red and silver Budweiser bottles were inspired by the world’s most coveted trophy,» said Western European marketing director for Budweiser James Watson. «Their eye-catching design [makes] them a must-stock item.»
The bottles are part of a strong bid for Anheuser Busch InBev, owner of the Budweiser name, to boost sales and during the World Cup.
Budweiser is the official beer of the World Cup 2010. The tournament begins in South Africa on June 11.
