The 20th Mucis Awards, annually supported by one the most famouse single malt Scottish whisky brands — Glenfiddich, took place in Blair Castle, Perthshire, UK.
Through years, the competition has gained as high reputation as Grammy of the of traditional music world.
This year the first place took the American fiddler — Rebecca Lomnicky. The Oregon-based violinist is the second American in a row to pick up the prize. Second was Nicola Auchnie, from Turiff in Aberdeenshire, and the third was Gillian Ramsay, from Kirrienuir, Angus.
Ms Lomnicky said: «Glenfiddich is the championship you set your sights on when you bacome an accomplished player.»
Peter Gordon from William Grant and Sons Ltd, which owns Glenfiddich, sail: «Over t he years this has become such a prostigious event and we are extremely proud.»
