Commenting on what made Heinz roll out its old-time glass bottle Noel Geoffroy, Vice President of Heinz Brands said, “While the convenience of our current, squeezable bottles found in grocery stores has been a hit with today’s families and their lifestyles, consumers still associate Heinz Ketchup with our iconic glass bottle and routinely ask where they can find them. In response to that consumer demand and to inspire memories of and relive good times from summers past, we wanted to bring back the glass bottle with a limited edition design that gives a nod to the product’s 135-year history.”

In addition to clear glass bottle, the new Limited Edition Heinz ketchup bottle features a new label, the imagery of which was inspired by the visual design of vintage pack of tomato seeds to bring the notes of nostalgia to a summer picnic.

The iconic Heinz ketchup glass bottle was first introduced in 1876 and was made of clear glass to assure the consumer that Heinz ketchup was made of all-natural ingredients. This bottle was last available in stores in 1990s, as it was gradually replaced with a squeezable plastic bottle that has been used for packaging the product until nowadays.
