Pepsi Japan is here to amaze consumers again. Following the World Cup 2010 themed release of Pepsi Baobab this summer, now the global fizzy drinks manufacturer is getting ready for the winter season and introduces Mont Blanc, a new flavour of the iconic beverage.
It seems that the creativity of the Japanese team is really ceaseless—the line of bizarre editions was started in 2007, and since that time local consumers have taste extremely unconventional Pepsi Iced Cucumber, Pepsi Shiso (green perilla), Pepsi Blue Hawaii (pineapple & lemon), Pepsi Azuki (boiled wit sugar red azuki beans) and the above mentioned Pepsi Baobab. The new product comes as a tribute to one of the symbols of France, its “White Mountain,” and as a promotional offer for the upcoming Christmas season as well.
The new product will have the flavour of the popular Mont Blanc dessert, mixing the taste of marron (chestnut) and (that’s the most weird thing about this drink) snow from Mont Blanc. The nationwide release is slated for October 26, and each bottle of the new seasonal beverage will be sold for 140 yen (about $1.65).
