McDonald’s Avatar: Become One of the Na’vi

McDonald’s has launched a Russian website for promotion of Avatar’s release. At Avatar.mcdonalds.com visitors can upload their pictures to see how they would look if they lived on Pandora, and take part in a number of entertainment activities. The campaign was developed by the Oddcast creative agency.

The visitor can share his or her updated photo with friends via the blog or social network pages. The blue-skinned figures follow the mouse cursor as you move it around the screen, but their mimic is rather poor. The registered visitors have also uploaded photos of well-known personalities (d-r. House and Vladimir Lenin among them), to see what they would be look like with the new futuristic image.

The visitors can also try and find hidden object, scattered around. When the first level is completed, they are to get the code from the McDonald’s restaurant to continue the game. To get in the very heart of the futuristic world, you can print the card and move it beforeу your webcamera — the application reacts your moves and drives the character to where you want.
