McDonald’s & Leo Burnett Turned Water Green

To celebrate St. Patrick Day and promote its Shamrock Shake, McDonald’s commissioned Leo Burnett with a task to create another great ambient installation. The holiday was on March 17, and on this day Chicago River and the Calumet River were dyed green again.

This year the huge fast-food chain added some green colour to the water by “pouring” its shake into it. The agency created a giant Shamrock Shake turned down to the river. The objective of the project was to show how close is McDonald’s to all customers and happy to join the celebration of the main Irish day.

$10,000 from the sales of the shake over St. Patricks day weekend was granted to the charity.
