PepsiCo Re-launches ‘Food for Good’

PepsiCo continues to show the same incredible level of moral responsibility that no other organization rivals. The company not only provided nutritious meals through the Food for Good Mobile Feeding program but also sponsored The #Promise public commitment project kicked off this month.

The Food for Good mobile program is in its second year in Dallas and will also be launching in Chicago in July. In 2009 it was piloted in Dallas and gave out over 50,000 breakfasts and snacks in a 2 month period. The worthwhile cause is part of the larger PepsiCo Food for Good project that targets building sustaining social business models that increase the availability of nutritious food plus provides jobs and work programs of development in urban communities.

The #Promise, produced by the non-profit organization ThinkSocial, is Pepsico’s campaign that focuses on social responsibility not only for individuals but also for organizations. The launch of this great initiative developed by the giant was in NYC during early June at Internet Week HQ. The innovative project is not only about sharing responsibility but demands commitment for actions to be mutually beneficial for companies and public alike.

PepsiCo issued their promise to perform with purpose as stated on their website and they continue to deliver on it. The organization commits to their employees and communities alike to give the tools of growth needed to make a more complete individual as well as a better world.
