PepsiCo’s Digital Incubator Program to Drive Innovative Entrepreneurship in Brazil

Technology innovations are not a sole prerogative of the Silicon Valley companies today. As it was announced earlier this March, PepsiCO10 incubator has expanded to the so-called emerging markets, and recently —to Brazil to give a chance to young tech startups and digital entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to life and drive IT business (and the whole society) forward.

There are 4 categories, in which a submission of an idea or a prototype of the project can be made: entertainment, mobile, retail and sustainability. All the details on how to enter the Program are available at PepsiCO Brasil FB page in Portuguese (http://www.facebook.com/pepsicobrasil).

PepsiCo10 ‘digital incubator’ was first launched in 2010 in the US and had some amazing finalists, among which there were very successful startups such as Aislebuyer, a Boston-based self-chechout solution (which has recently been acquired by Intuit in April 2012 for $100 m).

In 2011 the momentum continued with PepsiCo10 Europe, with such a bright finalist as TVTAK, the visual recognition app company that enabled second-screen engagement, empowered «What’s the flavor campaign» for Walkers in London.
