Peroni Celebrates the Taste of Italian Summer in New Campaign

SABMiller-owned brand Peroni Nastro Azzurro brings the taste of summer in its new Spring/Summer global ad campaign. The campaign launched on April 15 in cinemas. The central element of the campaign is a video produced using a 1960s style Bolex camera showing attractive men and women having fun and enjoying summer in Italy.

The movie entitled ‘Primavera / Estate’ (Spring / Summer)’ and shot in the area near Como Lake, reveals the passionate feelings Italians have for summer. The changing closeups of young and energetic models dressed in costumes selected by stylist David Hawkins, deliver the taste of summer, Italian style.

The movie was produced by the Bank agency. The campaign marks collaboration between the beer brand and Mario Biondi – Italy’s most famous performer, since his song ‘The Girl’ is used as a soundtrack to the videospot.

Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s Global Marketing Manager Claudia Falcone, says: «As Italians, we live for this time of year known as ‘La Bella Stagione’ (The Beautiful Season), enjoying the warmth, charm, and beauty of every outdoor moment. Our film ‘Primavera / Estate’ (Spring / Summer) captures our unique Italian passion, bringing the ‘La Bella Stagione’ to life. The musical collaboration with Mario Biondi has been a privilege for the brand, and his recording of his Italian version of ‘My Girl’ was an inspired contribution to the project. With the release of this new campaign, Peroni Nastro Azzurro is pleased to continue its commitment to working with some of Italy’s most gifted and passionate artists.»
