Purina’s Small Animal Food Reveals Big Thoughts from Small Animals

The Purina brand, which is more often associated with cat’s food, released a campaign to promote its nutrition mixtures for smaller animals such as rabbits, birds, hamsters, etc. The marketing initiative dubbed “Big Thoughts From Small Animals” was developed by Colle+McVoy—it includes a series of six short videos and promotion on the Purina’s Small Animal Food Facebook page.

In the videos, tiny creatures are sharing their wisdom with the audience. “Who came up with the term ‘bird brain’? Who says that? Like birds are stupid? Hey, smart boy… Who invented flying anyway?” says a yellow parrot. Plus, the animals are paying tribute to the balanced formulas of their Purina’s Small Animal Food, implying that “whoever created it, is a genius.”

On its page, Purina Small Animals offers owners of tiny pet to win coupons for the brand’s products. With this promotion, the Nestlé-owned brand wants to draw some attention to animals, which are considered too stupid to have conscious thinking. As it turns, they do have it. Thankfully, Purina didn’t go further with shoots films about spiders and iguanas.
