Samsung and Beckham Present Galaxy S III Designed for Humans

Samsung has rolled out a new ad that features David Beckham, the company’s Olympics Ambassador, who presents the new Galaxy S III smartphone.

The dynamic ad created by Cheil Worldwide shows people from different countries waiting for Beckham to hit the drum to start the Olympic Games. Then they use their Galaxy S IIIs to share this event in videos and have fun with their friends while being involved into active sports—bike stunts, surfing and football playing. The new smartphone is positioned as a one ‘designed for humans’.

The ad is a part of Samsung’s ‘Everyone’s Olympic Games’ campaign that is tailored to make everyone related to the Games even if they can’t afford a ticket to the events that will commence in London on July 27. Samsung says that people can use their mobiles to share the Olympics footage. The ad will be used in 26 countries is adapted to each country, says Campaign Live.

Wain Choi, global executive creative director of Cheil Worldwide, said: «London 2012 is the first Olympics where television will no longer be the dominant medium. Our film shows how the new Galaxy S III opens up the games for everyone to enjoy, in a variety of different ways, thanks to the phone’s multi functions. More than just a sports spot, we aim to show how, more than ever before, it’s ‘Everyone’s Olympic Games’.»
