Samsung Creates Parallel Universe in London

Samsung has created an ad to promote its 3D LED TV in the UK. The previous brilliant works “Wonder-Full” and “3D Truth in Old Masters” are now followed by another breath-taking spot, which convinces us that we can broaden the world.

The TV ad was developed by the CHI agency, and it took eight months to produce such an unbelievable and gorgeous spot. The creators invaded London with 1,256 giant Samsung 3D TV screens, which «blur the boundaries of reality». The parallel world was unveiled with the help of 81 crew members, who installed the screens to let us see three-storey-high cats, South America’s Iguazu Falls, butterflies, huge whale tails and other fantastic creations.

Mikah Martin-Cruz, the company’s marketing director, comments: «The campaign really captures the spirit of 3D TV and brings to life the amazing experience the technology can deliver. The launch of the first 3D TV in the UK is such a culturally significant event, we needed to do it justice with a visually exciting campaign that captures the audience’s imagination and feel we have done exactly that. Creatively it’s a new direction for Samsung and one that’s close to my own heart.»

The TV-sets will be available to purchase starting on April 27, and the £8m promotional campaign kicks off next day, during the Champion’s League semi-final on ITV1. It will be running on TV, press, outdoor and online platforms for 3 months.
