Skype creates “impossible portraits” as part of its new “Stay Together” campaign in the USA

Skype’s latest campaign, “Stay Together” by Pereira & O’Dell, features emotional stories about U.S. users who share their experiences of staying connected with their loved ones over Skype, across the world.

The “Stay Together” videos include three “impossible portrait stories.” In the spots, people who are not with their loved ones at the moment are able to reconnect with them using Skype and pose together for a family portrait in a Skype projected picture. In this virtual manner, Denis, a refugee from Uganda who lives in Pennsylvania, Lindsay, a zookeeper from Alabama, and 10-year-old Julie from California got real-life pictures with faraway people and animals they love. Watch the three videos on the dedicated page of the campaign.

Skype is also encouraging the U.S. audience to share their own experiences of re-connecting with the family over the internet using virtual video calls. From June 20 through July 22, participants of the “Stay Together” contest are invited to upload their own stories of using Skype to stay close with their family and friends. The stories are displayed on the dedicated wall, and users can vote for their most favorite entry. The winner will be awarded with the “impossible family portrait” and a trip to see the family.
