Frito-Lay (PepsiCo) has kicked off a new campaign dedicated to its «multipacks», which are combos of packages with snack foods. The new packs would be a nice choice for both families and singles, and to promote its new 6-pack containers the company unveiled two funny spots.
The commercials are developed by BBDO Toronto, the Holiday Films studio and director Scott Corbett. The humorous spots nod to big families and their needs as well to people who like to enjoy their snacks by themselves.
The “Wall climbing” video tells a story of a man (daddy) who getts up the wall and eventually he stops and asks his family to help him out. But they do not hurry as at this very moment mom is taking out the multipack. The “Evevator” spot shows a man and a woman in the elevator. She is in a mini-car, and leaves very little space to the second character — Frito-Lay knows what it’s like when there is not so much room how to make the most use of whet you have.
With this the company wants to say that its brands always adjust themselves to the needs of the consumers — either with the quality of the products or, like this time, with the size.
