IKEA, an international furnishing retailer, who’s been recently announced Advertiser of the Year during the 58th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, has presented an interesting event for the fans of democratic furniture and interior design solutions in Europe.

In celebration of its 15th anniversary on the Spanish market, the brand invites to visit its  ‘IKEA DEMOCRATIC DESIGN’ exhibition. The show has been organized by IKEA in collaboration with la Central de Diseño / DIMAD, and is held from 13 to 29 May in this institution’s exhibition facility in Madrid.

Needless to say, the exposition is dedicated to the core principle of IKEA philosophy: high-quality design and impressive reliability of products shall not be limited to exclusive audience only. Every home deserves the furniture that should make it a cozy place.

The event showcases IKEA design icons such as affordable furniture items to create head-turning design, display of IKEA’s textiles, as well as exhibit of products designed for children.

‘IKEA DEMOCRATIC DESIGN’ also includes a parallel show dubbed ‘IKEA AL CUBO’ prepared in collaboration with the Madrid Association of Designers (DIMAD). 200 students from 10 design schools and universities in Madrid have contributed to this initiative by creating unique spaces full of creativity fitted inside the buckets 2.40 x 2.40 metres, using only products from IKEA.
