Leo Burnett and McDonald’s Turn to Animation with Spaceman Stu

Leo Burnett, McDonald’s long-standing ad partner, has developed an extremely adorable and extraordinarily delightful TV advert for the US as a part of the chain’s «I’m Lovin’ It» campaign. The animated story about Spaceman Stu, a little boy, who is dreaming of the skies and stars, is sure to be loved both by kids and adult consumers.

The new TV spot, created to promote McDonald’s Happy Meal, is featuring the kid, who lives in his own fantastical universe, where he can touch the huge and flat golden stars just by stretching a hand out of his small car, when riding on the road from the house to McDonald’s. According to the song by Comma Music/Chicago’s Pete Schmidt, which is used as the soundtrack for the spot, “Spacemen Stu liked to gaze up at the stars, he dreamed of floating with them in his spaceman car, and when he touched down he couldn’t believe his eyes, all of his favorite things started floating by, and he did too.”

The most notable recent Leo Burnett’s work for McDonald’s is the series of sweet commercials featuring warm relationship between fathers and their children. By the way, today, August 5, Leo Burnett Worldwide, one of the most recognized advertising agencies in the world, is celebrating its 75-th anniversary.
