Nestlé Adds Animation to Cheerios Crunchers Ad Campaign

Nestlé is promoting its Cheerios range with lovely animated commercials. The brand commissioned McCann London agency and Aardman Animations studio with a task to create a series of adverts, which would emphasize the positive image of the product, targeted mainly at kids and their moms. The spots are announcing the latest addition to the portfolio of the brand, “Cheerios Crunchers”.

Cheerios is a much loved family cereal, and we expect new Cheerios Crunchers to build on this appeal and take the brand to a wider audience. Cheerios Crunchers is positioned as an “all family” taste product and our research shows that it will be another firm favourite with all the family,” said Andrew Wormald, Cereal Partners brand manager for NPD.

The first advert, “Nets”, was launched on March 1 on the UK television. It features characters created by Aardman Animations, a diminutive animated family is trying to catch Cheerios «O»s, which are flying up above like bees thanks to their natural honey taste. The release of the next 20-second spot is slated for March 15.

This year brand is planning to extend the promotion by introducing new campaigns, dedicated to the popular dry breakfast food.
