Pepsi Refresh Project Pays Homage to U.S. Troops

On the eve of Memorial Day, Pepsi Refresh project is on the lookout for the ideas about what’s the best way to pay homage and provide support to the U.S. military servicemen, which brings up another Pepsi Challenge question: “How would you honor your hometown troops?”.

Entries will be accepted between the 1st and 5th of June, while voting will launch on July 1.

Last year Pepsi Refresh Project awarded 16 organizations and/or individuals who presented their ideas on how Americans could provide care and support to U.S troops. The winner list includes:

—Molly Gisi from Portland who was received $50,000 in August 2010 for ‘Molly’s Adopt a Sailor’ project, aimed at sending care packages to American troops. Each month the activists of the project select a different group of deployed servicemen to adopt and take care of, and shop for the things they are missing from home.
