Red Bull Comissioned 3D Artist to Create a Floor Artwork for a Skateboaring Festival

Red Bull asked Tracy Lee Stum, one of the most prominent 3D artists or our days and a Guinness record-breaker, to decorate the floor of Skate Park of Tampa for the parks upcoming 17th Annual Tampa Am skateboarding competition. The huge art work (15 meters wide and 2 meters high) was painted on the skating surface features two angry bulls (which are red, of course).

The enraged animals seem to be breaking through the concrete floor, and you really feel this tremendous power when look at the 3D rendition. The piece also features the brand’s logo, painted on one of the big rocks in the bottom. Tracy Lee Stum had to take the most durable paint specifically for concrete, because the creation has to remain unchanged for months and maybe years for visitors of the park to see and walk on. “Usually my pieces are seen from close up, maybe 2 meters away at most, so I had to use my computer and camera to assist with the viewing distortion. I decided to add some big cracks and chunky bits of pavement flying through the air—kind of like some of those runaway skateboards—in hopes of creating more depth in that area,” told the artists on her website.

The hilarious project is created for the competition, which will be running December 2-5 in Florida.
