Mars Launches Limited «More Nuts» Snickers for UK

The successful “Get Some Nuts” campaign in 2009 inspired Mars Food to introduce the Snickers «More Nuts» limited edition in 2010 to the British market. The new chocolate bar of both single, duo and multipack will bow have 10% more nuts. The new variety will be launched in February with a £1 million wide-scale promotion campaign.

«More than 75% of consumers recognised our ‘Get Some Nuts’ campaign in 2009 which has been very successful in establishing Snickers as the third most popular chocolate bar in the UK. Our campaign with Mr.T. has been all about encouraging the UK to get more nuts so it’s natural that we should develop this into an exciting brand extension and support it through the line in 2010,» said Bep Sandhu, MARS spokesperson.

The new TV-ads, airing on January, 31 will feature a famous actor Mr. T. The 5-weeks campaign will be supported by specifically created «More Nuts» website which will also be promoted on-pack. The brand will be reaching potential consumers with the help of a series of print and online More Nuts challenges.
