McDonald’s UK Celebrates Modern Santas, Postmen, in Its Christmas Promotion

This season, McDonald’s is revealing a new Santa Claus, a postman. The fast-food chain has released a new ad in the UK, which invites to take a fresh look at those, who deliver joy to our doors. The advert, created by Leo Burnett, promotes the new festive menu, which will be available at the chain from today, November 28, through January 1, 2013.

Leo Burnett’s new ad for McDonald’s this Christmas is the charming story of a postman—in many ways the modern Santa Claus—who braves the elements to deliver festive joy to the British public. After a tough day’s work, he rewards himself for his efforts with a delicious Winter Warmer and some banter with his workmates,” states the agency in the description to the ad.

Along with the commercial, launched on Tuesday, McDonald’s will release a series of outdoor ads centered around the TV promotion, which will also celebrate the holiday offerings, including the Winter Warmer burger, Chicken Celebration burger, Cheese Melt Dippers, Orange Flavour Chocolate Pie and Quality Street Fudge McFlurry.
