Pepsi will be naked, if Argentina wins the World Cup. Recently, Diego Maradona, the coach for Argentina’s football team competing in the FIFA World Cup 2010, stated he will run the streets of Buenos Aires undressed if his team becomes a champion this year and the soft drink giant agreed to do the same with the launch of a recent campaign.

AdAge reports that PepsiCo announced that the soft drink will be sold with no label for a week in Argentina if that country wins the football tournament. BBDO Argentina created print ads for the company illustrating what the un-labeled bottles will look like with only a blue label around the neck of the bottle stating, «If the coach goes naked, we will, too. Pepsi promises.»
Maradona, a former football star known for frequent controversy, made the bold statement in a radio interview that he would undress and run naked around the famous Buenos Aires landmark, the Obelisk if the team wins the World Cup.
Though Argentina is not favored to win the World Cup, they do have superstar Lionel Messi on their team and it is not out of the question. Argentina has won both of their games so far defeating Nigeria 1-0 then easily beating South Korea 4-1. The team leads Group B with one game remaining in this round.
